I realized the real victory wasn’t reaching the championship.

It wasn’t standing under bright lights in Las Vegas.

It wasn’t hearing my name announced after a difficult match.

It was refusing to let someone else’s insecurity decide what I was allowed to become.

Olivia once told me, “Your dream is over.”

She was wrong.

My dream didn’t end when she burned the card.

It got stronger when I realized I could protect it myself.

And twenty-four hours after she tried to take that dream away, she stood in my doorway crying and begging me to forgive her.

I eventually did.

But forgiveness came with a boundary she could never ignore again:

She could be my sister.

She could even become my friend.

But she would never again be allowed to sabotage the life I worked so hard to build.
